Abel Tasman Canyons operates guided canyoning trips at the very top of the South Island of Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Our trips are unique in the sense that they are located close to the coast and immersed in unspoiled native forest. We access some of our canyons by water taxi stopping along the way to admire seals and dolphins in their natural habitat.
The New Zealand Canyoning School runs canyoning training courses in various locations in New Zealand. We are excited that we are now part of the ICOpro family as an affiliated center. Being part of a reputable international organisation makes us proud and we’re looking forward to strengthen the network by doing more of what we love: Canyoning.
Mother Nature really created something special here. We are fortunate to have amazing granite canyons beautifully sculpted by crystal clear water and surrounded by stunning native bush. Located in the tropical north of the South Island means we’re far away from freezing cold rivers fed by snow melt. The Abel Tasman National Park has picture perfect golden sand beaches, turquoise waters and plenty of wildlife. Where else can you start and finish an exciting canyoning trip on a golden sand beach? All we need to add is exhilarating water taxi rides, fun and professional canyoning guides, top notch equipment, delicious lunch and free photos and videos.
